BPC-157 is a 15-amino acid peptide fragment derived from human gastric juice protein BPC. It has demonstrated remarkable healing properties across tendon, ligament, muscle, bone, and gut tissue in preclinical studies. It upregulates growth hormone receptor expression and promotes angiogenesis via VEGF, making it one of the most studied regenerative peptides in sports medicine research.

BPC-157 upregulates growth hormone receptors on tendon fibroblasts and stimulates VEGF-mediated angiogenesis to accelerate tissue vascularization. It modulates the nitric oxide system, increases expression of collagen synthesis genes, and counteracts NSAID/corticosteroid-induced inhibition of healing. In the gut it stabilizes the mucosal barrier and counteracts damage from endotoxins and inflammatory mediators.
